Session History

If the Chargemaster Toolkit moves a charge item from one tab to another tab as the result of a change that you made to the charge item, the Chargemaster Toolkit generates a session history.

You can view the session history to track the changes that you made. For example, if you add links, they may not all go to the Valid tab. The session history enables you to find them easily.

A session history applies only to the current session. Therefore, when you close the HPT file, the Chargemaster Toolkit deletes the session history. The next time that you open the HPT file, the Chargemaster Toolkit generates a new session history. (See Active Audit for a description of the full audit trail of a charge item.)

• To view the Session History
  1. Select Tools > Session History from the menu bar. The Session History screen displays. [Picture]

  The columns show the date and time that you changed a charge item, the original tab, the tab to which the Chargemaster Toolkit moved the charge item, and the action that you performed that caused the charge item to move.

  2. To locate a charge item in the Chargemaster Toolkit tabs, double-click the charge item in the Session History dialog box. The charge item will be highlighted in the Chargemaster Toolkit (the Session History remains on top).

  If the Chargemaster Toolkit moves a charge item, and you then set a filter that prevents the charge item from being displayed (see Filters), then the following message appears if you attempt to follow the last move:

  “This Record is not available in the current filtered set.”

  To view the record, remove the filter, then try again.
