To view the audit trail of
a charge item
- Right-click on the charge item and choose View Audit from the Popup menu. The Active Audit dialog box displays. [Picture]
A list of changes to the charge item is shown in the top half of the dialog box. The columns show the change, the date, the time, the user who made the change, and the tab to which the charge was moved (this is blank if there was no move). Click on a change in the top half to view details of it in the bottom half of the window.
An entry of "Changes Rejected" means that one or more changes have been rejected, or rolled-back. Double click on this entry to see what those changes were.
To
print the audit trail of a charge item
- Right-click anywhere in the top list of the Active Audit dialog box, and choose Print Audit Trail from the menu that appears. The Print Audit Trail dialog box appears.
- Choose
one of the following:
- Print — The Windows Print dialog box appears. For help with this, refer to Microsoft help.
- Preview — The Print Preview dialog box appears.
To
view a charge item as it was at a particular stage in the audit trail
- In the Active Audit dialog box, right-click on the appropriate entry in the top list, then choose View charge item at this date from the pop up menu. The Hospital Display window opens, showing a view of the HPT file as it was on the date you chose, and highlighting the current charge item. Refer to Hospital File for more details of working with this tool.
To
roll back to a previous stage in the audit trail
- In the Active Audit dialog box, right-click on the stage to which the charge will be rolled back and choose Roll back these changes.
You cannot roll back changes that are still pending, or those that were made before the last "New Audit" entry.
The charge item is changed back to its previous state, rejecting any later changes. The roll back operation appears as a new entry in the Audit Item column, called "Changes Rejected". You can double-click on this entry to review the list of changes that have been rejected.
