Advanced Filters

When defining advanced filters, you can specify more complicated filter criteria. Choose from one of the following:

Column values

You can choose from all the column headings in your CDM file, and define specific values and operators as criteria.

For example, if you wanted to see all charge items that had a volume value greater than 0 then you would define:

Volume > “0”

If you wanted to see all charge items with zero usage then you would define:

Volume = “0”

Column names are specific to your facility. There may not be a column of this name in your facility.

Track Changes

This allows you to view all charge items that have changes that are either are still pending, or that have been accepted. For more information about change tracking.

Audit Element

When an action is performed on a charge item, an element is added to the audit trail. Use this filter to display charge items that have undergone particular actions (deactivated, included, modified etc.).

For some actions, you can define additional criteria (for example, if you choose “included”, then you can specify which tab it was included from). You can also specify which user performed the action, and when it was performed.

Memo

Memos can be attached to charge items. Use this filter when you want to show only charge items that either have or don’t have memos attached to them. You can also specify more specific criteria such as memo author, date range, or words that the memo must contain.

Department (GL Type)

For example, you could specify that only charge items with a GL Type of “Chemo” are to be displayed.

Category Assigned

Show only charge items that are in a particular category (see Category Manager for details of how to define and apply categories to charge items). A charge item can only ever have one “current” category, but filtering on a category will match all charge items that have ever been assigned that category.

Intent of Service Issue

Identify charges with an Intent of service issue. You may want to export or print these charge items at the beginning of a review.

Dental Status

The Dental Status is specified when 4 digit overlapping codes are used. These can be displayed with this filter.

Additional Charge Items

Use this filter to show all charge items that have been added to the file, through any of the following:

(To filter on a specific additional item, use the Audit Element filter.)

HCPCS/CPT Status Indicator

Identify charge items with a specific Status Indicator (a charge’s HCPCS/CPT information is displayed on the Active Info window).

Column Size

Identify Charge Descriptions with more characters than a specified size. This is of particular use where the live billing system restricts the number of allowable characters in a description.

Implementation Errors

Identify charges which have associated unresolved Implementation Errors. See Implementation Errors  for further details.

External Changes

Identify charges which have not been modified in the live Chargemaster but not through the Chargemaster Toolkit.

Corporate Mappings

Identify charges which do or don’t contain links to the Corporate Chargemaster.

Option available with Corporate Module only.

Corporate Map to Facility
