Hardware requirements
There are several options for configuring your PC, software and data
file(s) depending
upon your available technology and the number of hospital files you manage.
Options checklist:
- I only want to use the
minimum technology needed to run the software.
- I want to install the
software and data files on a single computer.
- I want to install the
software on several networked computers and my data files on a network
repository.
Key information and lessons from the field:
- We would suggest
that each PC running Chargemaster Toolkit™ meets or exceeds the recommended
specifications.
- PCs operating
with minimum specifications will be compatible with Chargemaster Toolkit™
though the system may perform more slowly.
- Clients installing
Chargemaster Toolkit™ on users’ PC’s across several departments find it
helpful to maintain a master list of each user and their details, their
geographic location, phone number and computer asset tag number or other
identifying characteristic that is retained by the CDM Manager and IMS
team. This facilitates better control over the location of
security devices and other maintenance issues that might arise.
