Filters
Use basic filters to show charge items that have particular properties.
Choose from one of the following:
Department (GL Type)
For example, you could specify that only charge items with a GL Type
GL Type is a narrative descriptor used to specifically identify the
type of a particular GL area, department, or cost center.
Example: LAB_HEMAT would be a Laboratory Hematology Department.
of “Chemo” are to be displayed.
HCPCS/CPT Status Indicator
For example, you could specify that only charge items with a Status
Indicator of “H — Additional Payment” are to be displayed (a charge’s
HCPCS/CPT information is displayed on the Active Info window).
Memo
Use this filter when you want to show only charge items that either
have or don’t have memos attached to them. You may also define more specific
criteria such as memo author, date range, or words that the memo must
contain. See Memo Filter Tutorial.
Intent of Service issue
If there is a mismatch between the intent of service (description) and
the CPT code, then an intent of service issue is generated. This causes
an icon
to be displayed in the
column.
You may want to export or print these charge items at the beginning of
a review. This filter allows you to display only those charge items with
or without an Intent of Service issue.
Column values
You can choose from all the column headings in your CDM file. This can
be used to filter on a range of values specific to that column. For example,
to see all the charge items with a CPT code from 22846 to 23465, you would
specify a filter on your CPT code column of “22846-23465”. You can also
use commas to include several ranges or values, in the form: “22846-23465,26000,30000-39999”.
